Anglesey, 2024 – The first round of the season kicked off with adrenaline and excitement as race car driver Kipro took on the challenging circuits of Anglesey. Friday testing saw a turbulent start for Kipro and his team, grappling with gear issues that persisted into Saturday’s qualifying rounds.
In a statement to our portal, Kipro shared his frustration, saying, “Friday was a bad dream, no 5th gear or very lucky to manage to shift.” Despite the setback, Kipro pressed on, showing resilience in the face of adversity.
Saturday’s qualifying wasn’t smooth sailing either, with cars slowing down and crowding apexes, making it difficult for Kipro to secure a good position. Nevertheless, he managed to secure an 8th spot for the first race, where he showcased his skills by passing several cars on the opening lap.
As the weekend progressed, Kipro’s performance improved. “Sunday was a new day, and the car felt good,” Kipro commented. However, qualifying remained messy, forcing him to start 7th. But he didn’t let that deter him, engaging in thrilling duels and finishing 7th, setting his sights on the second race.
In the second race on Sunday, Kipro fought fiercely from the middle of the pack, chasing the podium trio with determination. “The podium was very close, even the win too,” Kipro noted. However, a testing problem without 5th gear resurfaced, causing a setback as he spun out while attempting to catch the front runners. Despite this setback, Kipro fought back to finish 7th once again, demonstrating his never-give-up spirit.
Looking ahead, Kipro’s focus shifts to Caldwell Park, where he aims to build on the lessons learned from Anglesey and aim for greater success on the track.
